The rules, the application used to calculate the energy label and the effectiveness of the product must be taken into account. In the current situation, an energy consultant often measures the home data analogously and on location. To then generate an energy label via a complex calculation system.

Research

Better guidance when supplying data

This research has shown that Nedlabel can make the process of applying for an energy label accessible by designing the application in accordance with WCAG guidelines. Homeowners can also be better guided during the process in supplying home data and this data must be easy for them to obtain.

Go through the house together

The concept for the application, with the slogan 'going through the house together', should ensure that homeowners are encouraged and guided in supplying home data. It's a form they fill out before looking for an energy consultant. The system determines the course of the flow based on a number of basic questions, such as the type of home and the number of floors. The homeowner then walks through the house to complete information about the various installations per floor.

Reflection

Focusing on one part instead of trying to do everything at once.

During this project I worked closely with a developer. This collaboration was pleasant because we could learn from each other and it had a positive effect on the end result of the project. By focusing on one part you can go deeper into it and this ultimately improves the quality of the product. This also works better than trying to do everything at once.
